Iran Signals Conditional Openness to Talks, Warns Against ‘Deception’
The Speaker of Iranian Parliament has indicated that Iran remains open to negotiations with the United States, but warned that any talks must be genuine and respect Iran’s rights.
In a statement, the speaker said Tehran would be willing to reach an agreement if Washington demonstrates readiness for what he described as a “real agreement” that acknowledges the rights of the Iranian nation.
He cautioned, however, that Iran would not tolerate negotiations used as a cover for pressure or deception, referencing the ongoing conflict as evidence of the country’s willingness to defend its position.
“ If they intend to use negotiations as a futile show or a deceptive operation, we are prepared to secure our rights through faith in God and reliance on the capabilities of our nation,” the statement read.
The remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts and heightened tensions in the region, with multiple proposals for ceasefire and broader agreements still under discussion.Continue Your, Reading. .
