I Was Just Trying Not to Die in 2025 — DJ Big N Opens Up on Battle with Suicidal Thoughts
Popular Nigerian DJ, DJ Big N, has shared a deeply emotional account of his struggles in 2025, revealing that behind his public presence was a quiet battle for survival.
Speaking on the Off Air show with Toolz and Gbemi, the DJ admitted that despite appearing active and vocal online, he was not making money and was going through one of the toughest periods of his life.
“If I was us£less in savings, I’ll have drowned in 2025. I didn’t make money,” he said. “Me that I was posting, I was very vocal… my 2025 was just me making sure I don’t d+e.”
Toolz responded with reassurance, noting that it is okay to take time to recover during difficult moments. But DJ Big N explained that living through it felt very different from reflecting on it later.
According to him, the reality of that period was overwhelming, with moments that shook him deeply and forced him to confront his mental state in a very real way. “I was on my balcony I heard myself saying it’s not far now, see car port, jump.
Then I also heard myself when I was in my toilet saying ‘you won’t make it to 40,” he recounted. He highlighted how easy it is for people to look back and talk about lessons learned, but when you are in the middle of it, everything feels uncertain and heavy.Contiune Read Full, Details. .
