“AMUPITAN MUST GO” — Nigerians Demand INEC Chairman’s Exit as ADC Crisis Sparks Nationwide Outrage

Pressure is rapidly building on INEC Chairman, Joash Amupitan, as Nigerians intensify demands for his immediate resignation over the handling of the ADC leadership crisis.

Across social media and civic platforms, the message is blunt and unfiltered: “Amupitan must go.”

One viral post reads: “INEC Chairman must go….. Northern group demands Amupitan’s removal. This is getting crazier than we thought.”

Another added: “INEC is compromised since before now, but this? Nah! The chairman should resign.”

Mobilization calls are also spreading fast: “If you want INEC Chairman Prof. Amupitan sacked or to resign, comment ‘AMUPITAN MUST GO!’”

On the streets of Abuja, protests have already erupted. A live update from #OccupyINEC states: “Thousands of patriotic Nigerians stormed the INEC office, demanding the immediate resignation of the embattled INEC chairman, Prof. Amupitan.”

Eyewitness reports confirm the protests are ongoing despite heavy rain: “NOW: #OccupyINEC protest rages in Abuja rain as leaders demand INEC chairman’s exit over ADC interference.”

Civic pressure is escalating. One activist warned:

“Arewa Sheikhs must use their platforms to intensify calls for the resignation of INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan… He cannot be fair to Nigerians and must resign before he plunges the country into crisis.”

Direct pressure is now being placed on President Bola Tinubu. One post warned:
