JUST-IN: Four Reportedly Killed As Terrorists Attack Benue Community in Gwer West
At least four people have been confirmed dead, with several others injured and some still missing after armed terrorists attacked communities in Gwer West Local Government Area.
The attack occurred on the evening of Saturday, April 18, 2026, around Naka and nearby communities, including Mbapa, where gunmen stormed the area and opened fire on unarmed residents.
The sudden assault sent villagers fleeing in panic as gunshots echoed across the communities. Victims include hunters and ordinary residents who were caught off guard.
Search efforts are ongoing as authorities and locals continue to account for the missing and attend to the injured.
