U.S. authorities have launched a manhunt for Emuobosan Emanuella Hall, a 45-year-old Nigerian national who failed to report to prison to begin an eight-year sentence for her role in a romance fraud scheme.

Prosecutors said Hall, a permanent resident in Atlanta, Georgia, was sentenced in January 2026 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, as well as money laundering.

She was ordered to surrender by March 25, 2026, but did not show up. Her last known location was Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where her tracking device stopped working.

Although she claimed she was travelling to Minnesota to report to prison, records showed she never boarded the flight, and investigators believe she may have fled instead.
