Telcos To Begin Compensation Payments For Poor Service, Says NCC.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has assured telecom subscribers that they will start receiving compensation for the poor quality of service (QoS) that it directed telcos to pay.
Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida, told reporters at the ongoing media roundtable at the Marriott Hotel in Ikeja that customers will begin receiving compensation in the form of airtime today or tomorrow.
The EVC also assured that the Commission is working closely with its sister regulatory agency, the FCCPC, to resolve the issue of suspended credit airtime and data for customers, so that subscribers can continue to enjoy the services.
He said the telcos, which are NCC’s licensees, were not required to apply for another license from the FCCPC, but organizations that will be rendering the credit window to subscribers were.Continue Your, Reading. .
