TRUMP Envoy Urges FIFA: Replace IRAN With ITALY in 2026 World Cup
A senior envoy linked to President Donald Trump has reportedly asked FIFA to replace Iran with Italy in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to a breaking report from the Financial Times.
Iran qualified for the 2026 tournament (co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada), but its participation has been in serious doubt for months due to escalating geopolitical tensions, including direct conflict between the U.S. and Iran.
