JUST-IN: Troops Rescue Kidnap Victim in Kwara State
Ilorin, April 26, 2026 – Troops of Operation Safe South-South (OPSS), operating from Esie patrol base in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, have rescued a kidnapped victim during a search and rescue operation.
Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 7:00 a.m. on April 24 in collaboration with Forest Guards and local vigilantes around Owode Ofaro area.
According to the sources, the victim was abducted on April 23 from Yaru village before security forces intensified search operations in the area.
“The troops successfully located and rescued the victim during the coordinated operation,” the source said.
The rescued individual was subsequently reunited with his family after debriefing.Continue Your, Reading. .
