“I Will Sue His Dumb Ass” Cubana Chief Priest Fires Back At Ebonyi Lawmaker Over Call For EFCC Probe
Popular socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has hit back at a member of the House of Representatives, Chinedu Ogah, over the lawmaker’s call for an investigation into his financial activities by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Cubana Chief Priest, in a series of posts on his Instagram Story on Saturday, threatened to sue the lawmaker, who represents Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State.
He described Ogah as a “hit man” allegedly sent by Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, to attack his reputation following his criticism of the governor’s administration.
He said, “So that guy that did that press conference for me na Honorable Member. Well I will sue his dumb ass and let him understand that there is a working system in Nigeria. I will teach him the reason why education is really important.
“I can’t type my mind I will go live today or tomorrow. Governor sent his hit man to attack my personality that fetched me over 5.7 million followers only on IG, The World Most Celebrated Barman, Africa’s Biggest Pr, CP Wey No Small.”
The socialite also boasted of his relationships with several state governors, warning the lawmaker that he would not be intimidated by the call for an EFCC probe.
“For your low performing mind you feel say you go bully CP. Well I have over 10 solid governors who are my personal friends, I know by now them go don tell you say you don buy market,” he added.
Cubana Chief Priest further claimed that he had greater value to President Bola Tinubu’s political efforts than the lawmaker, while reiterating that his criticism of Ebonyi was motivated by his support for the President.
“I will let you know I have more value to Asiwaju than you. All I asked as Asiwaju’s promoter is show me what Asiwaju can come and commission in Ebongi, he has visited all the states in southeast except yours,” he said.
His reaction followed Ogah’s demand that the EFCC investigate him over comments directed at Governor Nwifuru.
The lawmaker had questioned Cubana Chief Priest’s background, occupation and source of income, while faulting him for publicly criticising the governor.
Ogah said, “Who is Cubana Chief Priest? What does he do for a living? Who gave him the audacity to speak against the Ebonyi State Governor? Is it about drinking?”
The federal lawmaker also alleged that the socialite could have been involved in money laundering and urged the anti-graft agency to scrutinise his financial activities.
Ogah further accused Cubana Chief Priest of being among those allegedly working against President Tinubu’s developmental efforts in the South-East.
Politics Nigeria reports that the controversy was triggered by Cubana Chief Priest’s criticism of Nwifuru’s administration, particularly over what he described as the absence of major projects commissioned by Tinubu or other state governors in Ebonyi since Nwifuru assumed office.
The socialite had demanded the governor’s resignation and questioned the administration’s record, alleging that Ebonyi was the only South-East state yet to experience significant development.
He also accused political leaders in the state of operating with what he described as an outdated mindset, arguing that they were “not wise enough” to move the state forward.
