How Woman Arrested for Br¥talising 13-Year-Old Domestic Worker in Imo state
A woman has been arrested in Imo State for allegedly br¥tally a§§aulting her 13-year-old domestic worker, leaving the young woman with serious injuries to her eyes.
The arrest was disclosed on Thursday by Imo-based journalist and activist Chidiebube Okeoma, who said he accompanied a team of police officers during the operation that led to the woman’s arrest and the victim’s rescue.
Videos shared online showed the victim with both eyes severely swollen shut after the alleged a§§ault. According to Okeoma, the suspect, who is reportedly from Udi in Enugu State, allegedly b£at the young woman with a stick, causing significant damage to her eyes.
The victim, who is also from Enugu State, has since been taken to a hospital, where she is receiving medical treatment, while police continue their investigation into the incident.
