I’ve Been Diagnosed With Narcissistic Personality Disorder, And There’s Nothing Wrong With Being A Narcissist. They Make The World Better — Actor Nick Cannon

American television host and actor Nick Cannon has revealed that he has been diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), insisting that he does not consider the condition a bad thing.

Cannon explained that the diagnosis involves extensive psychological testing over a period of about three months before a conclusion can be reached.

“I’ve been diagnosed with NPD. That’s narcissistic personality disorder. And they make you take hours and hours of tests. It’s over a period of time of like three months before they can determine if you have narcissistic personality disorder,” he said.

He stated that he does not view narcissism negatively, arguing that many successful and admired people possess the trait.

“I necessarily, as a narcissist, don’t think that’s a bad thing. There’s a lot of narcissists in this world that we all love and this world wouldn’t be this world if it wasn’t for these narcissists,” he said.

Cannon cited Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, singer Beyoncé, late pop star Michael Jackson and basketball legend Michael Jordan as examples of people he believes are narcissists.

“You wouldn’t have your iPhone if it wasn’t for a man named Steve Jobs. I believe Beyonce is a narcissist. You understand? She’s the most amazing performer we’ve ever seen. Michael Jackson is a narcissist. Michael Jordan is a narcissist,” he added.

According to him, their belief in themselves contributed to their achievements.

“And all of these people are amazing because they believe and love themselves. So as a fellow narcissist, there’s nothing wrong with being a narcissist.
