Xenophobic: ‘They Vowed to Shoot Remaining Africans’- Nigerian Returnees Says
Nigerian returnees from South Africa have described harrowing experiences of extortion, discrimination, and intimidation, with one claiming that some groups threatened to shoot African migrants who refused to leave.
Emmanuel Nwachukwu alleged that police and immigration officials routinely target Nigerians for extortion, and that bureaucracy makes it nearly impossible to obtain or renew documents, leaving many vulnerable.
