Speaking in a media interview, Bwala noted that the diversity of Lagos is reflected in its politics and economy.

“Lagos is no man’s land. In the last election, the president who comes from the South West didn’t win Lagos. That tells you about the cosmopolitan nature of Lagos,” he said.
