22-year-old Pregnant Woman Begs Authorities To Free Husband Jailed For Six Years Over Domestic Assault In Ghana

A 22-year-old pregnant woman in Ghana, Priscilla Sackey, is pleading with authorities to release her husband, Richard Adjei, who is currently serving a six-year prison sentence for assaulting her.

Priscilla explained that she initially reported her husband to the police after he b£at her, hoping the action would only scare him and stop the abuse. However, the situation later escalated and led to his imprisonment.

She said the incident began when she reported Richard to the police following an a§§ault. When officers arrived to arrest him, he was not at home. After he returned and discovered she had reported him, he allegedly attacked her again.

Angered by the repeated ab¥se, Priscilla’s aunt later filed another complaint with the authorities, which eventually led to Richard’s arrest and conviction.

Speaking to Crime Check, Priscilla admitted that although her husband had been abusive, she still needs his support to help care for their child.

She also said she regrets how the situation unfolded and is now asking for his release, especially as both her family and her husband’s relatives have abandoned her.
