BREAKING: Israel To Criminalize Christian Prayer At Wailing Wall
The Israeli Knesset passed a preliminary vote 56-47 on a bill that would hand the ultra-Orthodox Chief Rabbinate total authority over the Western Wall, and criminalize any worship it deems “desecration” with up to seven years in prison.
The bill was introduced by far-right MK Avi Maoz of the Noam party. It targets non-Orthodox Jewish prayer first, followed by Reform, Conservative, and egalitarian services.
But the implications for Christians are even starker because under traditional Rabbinate theology, praying to Jesus at the Wall constitutes IDOLATRY, making Christian worship the clearest target for criminal prosecution.
