Tragedy Struck As Vigilante Chairman Murdered in Plateau Ambush

Tragedy struck in Butura Kampani Village, Bokkos Local Government Area, as the Chairman of the local vigilante group, Mr. Julius Mangai, was killed in a brutal ambush on Saturday evening.

The Plateau State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the 45-year-old community leader was attacked by unidentified assailants at about 6:30 p.m. while returning from a mining site.

According to intelligence gathered by Ondopress, Mangai was ambushed by suspected hoodlums who stabbed him in the neck, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately rushed to Dung Clinic in Bokkos for urgent medical attention but was later pronounced dead.
