Suspected Kidnappers Arrested In Enugu After Harrison Intervention, Recovered Paid Ransom, Rescue Victims

A Nigerian investigative journalist identified as Harrison Gwamnishu and his team have arrested suspected kidnappers in Uzo-Uwani LGA, Enugu State, recovering firearm and ₦2 million rånsom paid by the victim’s family.

According to him, on Friday, 10th April 2026, Mrs. Joseph Victoria was abducted along Umeje Road in Adani, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The kidnappers initially demanded ₦40 million for her release, but her husband was only able to raise ₦2 million, which was paid to them.

Upon receiving the report, Harrison Gwamnishu mobilized from Asaba, Delta State and, in collaboration with soldiers of the 82 Division, Enugu, moved to Adani for a joint operation.

Through this coordinated effort, the suspects were successfully arrested. A pump-action rifle was recovered during the operation, along with the ₦2 million ransom.

Recovered items

The suspects and recovered items have since been handed over to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Adani under the Enugu State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.Continue Your, Reading. .
