Nigerian Army Arrest Suspected Kidnapper in Plateau State

Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected kidnapper during a targeted operation in Plateau State.

Security sources told Zagazola that the arrest was made at about 12:00 p.m. on April 21 by troops of Sector 8 under Operation Enduring Peace deployed at Gyambwas.

The suspect was apprehended at Chanso village in Mangu Local Government Area following credible intelligence on his alleged involvement in kidnapping activities within the area.

According to the sources, the troops conducted a swift operation that led to the arrest of the suspect without resistance.

The arrested individual is currently in military custody and undergoing preliminary interrogation for further investigation and possible handover to the appropriate authorities.

Military authorities said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks responsible for kidnapping and related crimes in the region.
