‘Reopening Strait of Hormuz Is Impossible’ With US Blockade -Iran’s President Says, List Out Obstacles For Ceasefire Deals.

Iran’s president was delivering a similar message to the one we heard a little earlier from Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, one of Iran’s leading negotiators and the speaker of the country’s parliament.

He said, in another online post, “a complete ceasefire only makes sense if it’s not violated” by America’s naval blockade of Iranian vessels off the Strait of Hormuz.

“Reopening the Strait of Hormuz is impossible with such a flagrant breach of the ceasefire,” said Ghalibaf.

The US has refused to lift its blockade of ships entering or exiting Iranian ports.

Iran subsequently reversed its brief reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, saying the US was breaching the terms of the ongoing ceasefire.

And, as we’ve been reporting today, Iran has attacked three ships in the strait. It said it seized two of them – which will continue to put off international shipping from attempting to navigate the area.Continue Your, Reading. .
