An estate management firm has petitioned the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, over the “heinous activities” of a land-grabbing militia accused of invading the judgement land belonging to Madam Sinatu Adeoye of Osogbo.

The firm warns that the group’s operations are threatening state peace and could reverse the government’s developmental strides if left unchecked.

In a four-page petition authored by Opias Real Estate Management Nigeria Limited and signed by its counsel, Kintai Kintai and Associates, the petitioner described the group’s incessant attacks on land judgement as worrisome.

The firm alleged that the militia’s primary “stock in trade” is committing criminal trespass on designated lands across the state capital, particularly, the Sinatu Adeoye’s judgement creditor land at both sides of the Osogbo–Ikirun Road, covering areas such as Powerline, Omidiran Garden, Iyana Camp, Biket Junction Area, and Ifesowapo Community, sharing boundaries with Bidire family and adjoining communities.

The petition, dated April 21, 2026,made available to news men on Friday, was also copied to security chiefs and top government officials. It contends that these inimical acts constitute a grave security threat to the state’s ongoing development, especially as the group reportedly boasts of having “backing from the seat of power in Abuja.” The militia members have allegedly bragged that even the State Governor is powerless to stop them.

According to Opias Real Estate Management, the militia has focused its atrocities on a disputed land that Governor Adeleke recently ordered the police to investigate.

That investigation reportedly confirmed that the land belongs to late Madam Sinatu Adeoye, from whom the estate firm derived its title.

That to the firm’s dismay however, the notorious syndicate has prevented the rightful owner from exercising her rights.
The group reportedly invaded the site, shooting sporadically and destroying structures worth millions of Naira while inflicting injuries on several persons.

The petitioner, therefore, called on the Governor to curb the escalating menace, describing the militia’s operations as a “time bomb” that must not be allowed to explode.

“In an era where a large part of the country is battling insecurity, it is appalling to have men parading themselves as unidentifiable private militias, roaming in public with sophisticated arms not even seen among our recognized security outfits,” Kintai Kintai and Associates remarked.

Other recipients include the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the State Commissioner for Lands, and the Surveyor-General of Osun State.
