Foreign contractor personnel operating alongside Ukrainain special forces have reportedly taken extensive casualties in a friendly fire incident near Kovsharovka in the Kharkov/Kharkiv Region, after Ukrainian personnel fired on them and the special forces.

Severe and worsening personnel shortages have resulted in foreign contractors playing an increasingly central role in the Ukrainian war effort, although the origins of the contractors killed in the latest incident remains unknown.

Commenting on the incident, defence expert Andrey Marochko informed Russian state media: “Servicemen of the Ukrainian armed formations opened fire on a Ukrainian special forces unit that was attempting to break through in that direction.

It should be noted that the eliminated assault units included foreign mercenaries who were not part of the Ukrainian army and were a separate volunteer unit.”Continue Your, Reading. .
