2026 FIFA: “We Have to Keep Moving”: Osimhen Breaks Silence on Nigeria’s World Cup Heartbreak
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has spoken out for the first time regarding Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, admitting the situation is incredibly painful.
Despite Africa receiving nine automatic slots for the expanded 48-team tournament, Nigeria missed out on a second consecutive World Cup after falling to DR Congo in the continental playoffs.
Speaking on a social media livestream, Osimhen shared his frustration, stating that missing out twice in a row is hard on the entire squad but emphasizing that the team must look forward.
