In the statement, Hamas alleged that the Israeli military’s offensive has killed tens of thousands of civilians, including large numbers of women and children, while deliberately targeting hospitals, schools, bakeries, food distribution centers, shelters, and aid workers. The group described the campaign as “the most horrific genocide in modern history.”

The statement further accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of pursuing a “war of extermination” and obstructing mediation efforts for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal. Hamas claimed the war serves the agenda of Netanyahu’s “fascist government,” even at the expense of Israeli captives held in Gaza.

Hamas also held the United States responsible, arguing that Washington provides political and military cover to Israel while blocking the United Nations from acting to stop the war.

“Statements of condemnation are no longer sufficient. Concrete punitive measures must be imposed on the occupation,” the group declared.

The statement called on the international community, Arab and Islamic states, and the UN Security Council to intervene decisively to halt the war and hold Israel accountable for alleged crimes against humanity.

Hamas praised global solidarity movements supporting Palestinians, including the recently announced “Global Sumud (Steadfastness) Flotilla” aimed at breaking the Gaza blockade. The group urged Arab and Islamic nations, alongside “free peoples of the world,” to intensify protests and actions “until the aggression stops and the siege is broken.”
