Lee Twamley, 55, known on TikTok as Salford T-Bone and linked to a nationalist group called Churchill’s Lions, was jailed in 2016 after French border officials found four Vietnamese migrants hidden under camping gear in his van. He was sentenced to 20 months in prison for human smuggling.

Despite his conviction, Twamley has emerged as a loud voice in the “Operation Raise the Colours” campaign, which has seen flags hoisted in Manchester and across the North West, with participants claiming to “defend British culture” and calling for an end to small boat crossings.

Following fresh revelations about his past, Twamley faced ridicule online, with critics branding him a “pretend patriot.” In response, he offered an unusual defence, insisting that the migrants he was caught smuggling were “destined for illegal cannabis farms.”

Twamley has previously been photographed at a Britain First rally and continues to post videos of flag-raising activities, despite mounting questions over his credibility and motives.
