The countries that have granted approval include the United Kingdom, France, United States, Ireland, Qatar, Republic of Benin, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
This was disclosed in a statement by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, who noted that responses from other countries are still being awaited.
An agrément is the formal approval granted by a host country before a foreign ambassador can be officially appointed and posted.
The ministry added that the date for the induction ceremony of the ambassador-designates will be announced once finalised and confirmed by the Presidency.
The development underscores ongoing efforts by Nigeria to deepen diplomatic ties and enhance its international engagements across multiple regions.
