BREAKING NEWS: Security Boss Calvin Mathibeli Has Suffered Another Legal blow
Last month, Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi approached the KwaZulu-Natal High Court after Mathibeli allegedly called him corrupt, captured, and suggested that he was behind unlawful killings.
At the time, the court ruled in favour of the provincial commissioner. However, Mathibeli challenged that judgment.
Mathibeli’s application for leave to appeal has now been dismissed with punitive costs.
The original order, which mainly compelled him to publicly retract the defamatory statements and refrain from repeating them, therefore remains in force.
This means Mathibeli must comply with the court order within 24 hours.
