Osun People Will See Tripled Dividends of Democracy — Adeleke’s Wife
The wife of Osun State Governor, Erelu Ngozi Abeni Adeleke, has assured residents of the state that they should expect greater dividends of democracy following her husband’s re-election.
Erelu Adeleke expressed appreciation to the people of Osun for what she described as their love, resilience and massive turnout during Saturday’s governorship election.
She said the people had demonstrated their confidence in the administration by voting for Governor Ademola Adeleke to continue in office for another term.
“We thank the people of Osun, for the love, resilience, and kindness demonstrated by them for turning out en masse to re-elect their governor. We assure them that the dividends of democracy will be tripled,” she said.
The governor’s wife also pledged to personally increase her support for the administration, particularly through expanded empowerment programmes.
“I will personally increase my support for this administration, especially through expanded empowerment schemes,” she added.
She further praised her husband, describing him as both a “dancing governor” and a working governor, while expressing confidence that his administration would continue to deliver programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents.
Adeleke was declared winner of the Osun governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), securing 511,067 votes against 444,815 votes recorded by APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji.
The victory secured Adeleke another term as governor of Osun State.
