Rangers Have £7m Bid for Brighton Winger Amario Cozier-Duberry Rejected
Rangers have seen a second bid of around £7 million for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Amario Cozier-Duberry rejected as the Scottish club continues its efforts to strengthen its squad.
The latest proposal is understood to have been turned down by Brighton, with Rangers now facing competition from other clubs interested in the highly rated winger.
Despite the rejection, discussions over a possible transfer are expected to continue in the coming days as Rangers assess whether to make another move for the player.
Cozier-Duberry, 21, joined Brighton from Arsenal in 2024 and has spent the past two seasons gaining senior experience on loan. He had a spell with Blackburn Rovers before joining Bolton Wanderers, where he continued his development.
Rangers have been active in the transfer market under manager Derek McInnes and had previously identified Cozier-Duberry as one of their targets. The club’s interest has intensified as it continues to look for attacking options.
However, Brighton’s decision to reject the latest proposal means the future of the winger remains unresolved, with rival clubs potentially increasing the competition for his signature.
Further talks are expected, and Rangers will have to decide whether to improve their offer if they want to bring Cozier-Duberry to Ibrox.
