Jordan Secures Gold For Nigeria In British International Taekwondo
UK-based Nigerian athlete Jordan Osanrenren Joel delivered gold for Team Nigeria at the British International Taekwondo Open in the United Kingdom.
Competing in the heavyweight (+87kg) division, Jordan won three consecutive bouts from the quarterfinals to the final at the globally ranked event, earning valuable world ranking points for Nigeria. His performance also helped Team Nigeria finish 10th overall among 142 senior teams.
Jordan praised the National Sports Commission’s Diaspora Talents Development Committee, describing the initiative as an important platform connecting Nigerian athletes across the world with grassroots sports development back home.
