Drama As Woman Who Was Abducted Returned Home With Pregnancy
A woman who was kidnapped from the Kasuwan Magani community in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State has returned home pregnant after being held captive for five months.
This information was shared by media figure Reuben Buhari, who explained the details surrounding her abduction and subsequent release.
Buhari, known for providing updates on security issues via online, reported that the victim was taken along with three others while she was caring for her sick mother.
Her release occurred two days ago after a ransom was paid. “She was looking after her seriously ill mother in Kasuwan Magani when the kidnappers invaded the house and abducted four individuals,” Buhari stated.
He mentioned that the woman suffered through months of hardship in the wilderness, facing hunger, illness, and ongoing physical abuse.
“For five months, she was held in the bush, struggling with hunger, sickness, and enduring constant beatings,” he noted.
After her release, Buhari revealed that she was taken to a medical facility, where it was confirmed that she was pregnant, a result of the repeated assaults during her captivity.
“We took her to the hospital and discovered she was pregnant,” he wrote, adding that her current health issues have postponed any immediate medical actions.
He mentioned that the victim wanted to terminate the pregnancy, but doctors advised against it due to her fragile condition.
“Her choice to end the pregnancy couldn’t be carried out because she was weak and required stabilization first, including blood transfusions,” he explained.
Additionally, he disclosed that the woman is facing other health issues, such as severe swelling in her feet after spending months without shoes in difficult conditions.
In addition to the physical injuries, Buhari emphasized that the psychological and emotional impact is significant, characterizing her experience as extremely distressing.
“Her suffering is not something most people would want to hear. This reflects the reality faced by some female victims of abduction,” he remarked.
This is not the first instance where the traumatic experiences of female captives have been revealed.
Last month, two women were killed among 14 individuals kidnapped from the Janjala community in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Daily Trust reported on how a member of the vigilante group and his wife, along with 12 others, were taken from the area.
The kidnappers demanded a ransom of N14 million.
Despite the families’ repeated pleas, the bandits remained firm in their demands.
Eventually, the families managed to gather N13 million, which they delivered to the kidnappers, who then released some of the women but retained the men.
A local source informed Daily Trust that after receiving the ransom in a location near Hayin Dam forest in the adjacent Kachia Local Government Area, the bandits notified the families that they had executed the two women.
The source stated that the two young girls had resisted alleged attempts by some of the bandits to assault them.
“When the girls refused to let the bandits rape them, their leader ordered them to be shot immediately,” the source added.Full Details. .
