BREAKING NEWS: PDP Governors Forum Hail Party @27
The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has hailed the PDP’s enduring legacy as a pillar of Nigeria’s democratic journey since its formation on Aug. 3, 1998.
The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Mohammed, made the remarks on Sunday in Abuja in a statement signed by the Forum’s Director-General, Dr Emmanuel Agbo, to commemorate the party’s 27th anniversary.
Mohammed congratulated the party leadership, members, and supporters for their steadfast commitment to democracy and national development.
He noted that the PDP was founded during Nigeria’s historic transition from military rule to civilian governance and quickly emerged as a beacon of hope for millions seeking democratic freedoms, economic progress, and social justice.
“The party’s landmark victory in the 1999 general elections marked the beginning of a new democratic era, with former President Olusegun Obasanjo laying the foundation for progressive leadership and institutional rebuilding,” he said,,Hit. Read. . More. — To Uncover Full News
