Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure more votes from northern Nigeria in the 2027 general election than he did in 2023.

He cited what he described as the president’s developmental achievements in the region.

Sani made the remarks on Tuesday during an interview monitored by Ondopress.

According to the governor, northern voters will make their decision based on performance rather than religion, ethnicity or tribal considerations.

He also dismissed suggestions that the 2027 election would be a contest between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigerian people, describing such claims as “the laziest argument.”

Sani maintained that President Tinubu has delivered more development projects to northern Nigeria than any previous leader, insisting that his assessment is backed by data and statistics.

He further dismissed claims that the North would reject Tinubu’s re-election bid, describing such assertions as unfounded.

“I can tell you categorically, as the governor of Kaduna State, that Tinubu will get more votes in 2027 than he got in 2023. The North will massively vote for him,” Sani said.
