BREAKING NEWS: United Nations Warns Political Clampdown Could Hamper Cameroon’s Presidential Poll
The United Nations has raised concerns that escalating political restrictions in Cameroon may undermine the credibility of the country’s upcoming presidential election.
Cameroon’s long-serving president, Paul Biya, aged 92 and the world’s oldest head of state, is seeking another seven-year mandate in the October 12 polls, which would extend his nearly 43 years in power.
