Soludo Mocks Obi, Declares ADC and LP “Dead” After Anambra By-elections
Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo has mocked Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) following the results of Saturday’s by-elections, declaring both the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) “dead” and “non-existent” in the state. Speaking at an event in Nanka to celebrate the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)’s victory, Soludo emphasized that the overwhelming support for APGA in the by-elections proved the irrelevance of Obi’s Labour Party and the ADC in Anambra.
Key Points:
Soludo declared the ADC and LP as “dead” in Anambra after the by-election results.
He mocked Obi for supporting ADC candidates, claiming the party has no presence in the state.
The APGA’s resounding victory, with over 75% of the vote, signaled overwhelming public support.
Soludo described APGA as “our movement,” reinforcing the party’s dominance in the state.
Obi had aligned with the ADC coalition in its bid to challenge President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
The by-election results serve as a significant blow to the Labour Party’s influence in Anambra.
Soludo’s comments underscore the intense rivalry in Anambra politics. By framing the election results as the people’s definitive Ballot’s Verdict, he sent a clear message to his political opponents ahead of future contests.
