During a Tuesday meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja, Tinubu welcomed a delegation from Katsina led by Governor Dikko Radda, where security concerns took center stage.

He ordered security agencies to reevaluate their strategies in Katsina amid a recent spike in banditry, promising the deployment of state-of-the-art military equipment and advanced surveillance technology to bolster defenses.

Furthermore, Tinubu mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of forest guards recently dispatched to Katsina, aiming to fortify rural security.

Addressing the nation’s alarming security issues, the president remained optimistic, asserting that these challenges are surmountable with coordinated efforts.

“The security challenges that we are facing are surmountable. Yes, we have porous borders. We inherited weaknesses that could have been addressed earlier. It is a challenge that we must fix, and we are facing it,” he said.
