The Venezuelan government cautioned the United States to abandon what it described as a plan to impose regime change in Caracas, stressing that sovereignty and territorial integrity would be defended at all costs.

“If Venezuela is subjected to any aggression, it will enter the stage of armed struggle. Washington must abandon its plan to change the regime in Venezuela,” the statement read.
