German international Florian Wirtz has officially signed with Liverpool FC, completing his full medical and putting pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Anfield until 2030.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder successfully underwent the second part of his medical earlier today, with sources confirming that all procedures have been finalized and the deal is now sealed. An official club announcement is expected later today.
Wirtz will briefly return to Germany for holiday before rejoining his new teammates ahead of Liverpool’s pre-season preparations.
The highly-rated former Bayer Leverkusen star is seen as a key addition to Arne Slot’s rebuilding project at Anfield, following an impressive season in the Bundesliga and for the German national team.
