In a statement signed by DSP Maureen Chinaka on Tuesday said CP Isa establishes new tactical unit called “Strike Force” commanded by DSP Eze Augustine Eke, as an intervention team.

The Commissioner of police also directed the new tactical unit to maintain professionalism, discipline and ensure strict compliance with the rules of law while carrying out their duties.

The statement reads in parts, “The Command in its continuous fight against unprofessional conduct by officers and in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to build a professionally competent, service driven, rule of law compliant and people friendly Police Force, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, has ordered the disbandment of the Quick Intervention Unit (QIU) on issues of unprofessional misconduce.., and..  Read . .More —
