Addressing party members at the state secretariat in Calabar, Kwankwaso expressed satisfaction with the leadership of the party in Cross River, urging them to build on their modest gains from the 2023 elections.
“I thank all the leaders and members of NNPP in Cross River State. I want to use this opportunity to thank you for receiving us. We are so happy with the leadership of the party in the state.
“I encourage you to work hard to ensure unity within the party. We must work with one mind if we truly want to win elections in this state and across Nigeria,” Kwankwaso said.
He added: “Let me thank you for what you did during the last election in 2023. I urge you to work harder so that by the grace of God, our party, the NNPP, will win elections in Cross River and Nigeria. Ensure unity especially now that we have a new big office in Calabar and many local government areas across the state.”
The State Chairman of the NNPP, Tony Odey, described Kwankwaso’s presence in the state as a huge morale booster for members.
“We have assembled stakeholders from different walks of life to engage in meaningful discussion, share ideas, and chart a new course for our collective progress. Your insight and guidance will undoubtedly enrich our capacity,” Odey said.
He praised the Contact Committee led by Alhaji Ahmed Bitchi for providing the state office accommodation and donating an official vehicle, describing the gesture as “a source of envy to other political parties in the state.”
According to Odey, the party has also secured offices in five local government areas within the Northern Senatorial Zone, with plans underway to brand them in the NNPP colours.
In his vote of thanks, the State Publicity Secretary, Odey Nyambi, commended Kwankwaso for engaging with grassroots stakeholders, assuring that the NNPP was now better positioned to wrest power in Cross River by 2027.
“With the structures we have on ground and the encouragement from our national leader, we are confident that NNPP will win Cross River in the 2027 general elections, and.. Read . .More —
