Sikorski: ‘Russia at War With NATO Through Ukraine’

Former Polish Foreign Minister and current Member of the European Parliament, Radek Sikorski, has declared that while NATO is not officially at war with Russia, Moscow is effectively waging war against the alliance through its military invasion of Ukraine…  .Read ..Full.. Article.. .

Speaking on the ongoing conflict, Sikorski remarked: “NATO is not at war with Russia, but Russia is at war with NATO through Ukraine.”

Sikorski, a long-time critic of Moscow, previously stirred controversy when he thanked the United States on social media in 2022 after the Nord Stream gas pipelines were sabotaged  a remark he later deleted. His latest comments once again highlight the deep divisions within Europe on how to characterize Russia’s aggression and NATO’s role in supporting Kyiv.

Analysts note that while NATO as a bloc has not entered direct combat with Russian forces, the alliance’s provision of weapons, training, and financial aid to Ukraine has positioned it as a key factor in the war. Moscow, on its part, has repeatedly accused NATO of using Ukraine as a proxy to weaken Russia.
