Governor Adeleke stated this at the Imole Empowerment Scheme 1.0 organized to empower 2,000 women and youths in the state with Point of Sale (POS) terminals, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) business registration certificates, and start-up grants.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony tagged “Imole Empowerment Scheme 1.0 Gov. Adeleke says the empowerment is aimed at equipping women and youths with skills, opportunities, and support to thrive. He noted that the initiative was based on capacity building and training for the beneficiaries to grow and expand their businesses.

Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Bayo Ogungbangbe, said since the ministry was created in July 2023, it had championed cooperative development and grassroots empowerment across the state.
