The transfer, agreed before the close of Turkey’s window on Friday, is subject to international clearance and player registration.

United wished the 29-year-old good luck as he begins his new challenge.

Onana’s move follows his omission from United’s first three Premier League matches of the season.

His only appearance so far this season came in the shock Carabao Cup defeat to League Two side Grimsby Town, a display that raised further questions about his future at Old Trafford.

Signed from Inter Milan
in July 2023 for 47.2 million pounds, Onana made 102 appearances for United and played a part in the club’s 2024 FA Cup success.

His time at the club, however, has been punctuated by periods of inconsistency and a number of high-profile errors..
