Troops of 8 Division Garrison, in conjunction with Sokoto State Community Guard Corps (SSCGC), have conducted clearance operations at terrorist hideouts in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Ondopress Learnt that the operation, carried out in the early hours of Saturday, targeted Dantayawa and Kuruwa mountains.
Troops engaged the terrorists in a firefight, forcing them to flee their camps. In the aftermath, one motorcycle was recovered.
Although no arrest was made, the military said pursuit operations are ongoing to track the fleeing terrorists.
