Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on Tuesday visited the United States Embassy in Abuja to advance discussions on investment opportunities across key sectors of the state’s economy.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, in a statement shared via his verified X page, disclosed that the talks centered on strategic projects within the Ondo Free Trade Zone, including the proposed Deep Sea Port, Petrochemical Hub, Refinery, and Agribusiness ventures. He stressed that the initiatives were designed to decongest Lagos ports while positioning Ondo as a major hub for international trade.

According to him, U.S. officials assured that Ondo State has now been listed among recommended destinations for American investors. They expressed strong interest in the state’s mineral resources, cocoa production, and investment-friendly climate, while also commending security improvements through the Amotekun Corps.
