PHOTOS: Nigeria Troops Killed 11 Suspected Terrorists In Borno, Adamawa

Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have killed 11 suspected terrorists in separate encounters in Kukawa, Borno State, and Umbo in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. .. Read ..Full.. Article.. .

A statement by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, OPHK, on Tuesday, said the successful operations took place on September 15, 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to rid the North East of terrorist activities.

According to the statement, troops of Sector 3 on a scanning and picketing patrol along the Baga–Cross Kauwa Main Supply Route in Kukawa LGA came under ambush at about 8:00 am when terrorists detonated a command Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and opened fire.

The troops stood their ground, engaged the terrorists with superior firepower, and repelled the attack before reinforcements arrived.

Follow-up reports confirmed that eight terrorists were neutralized, including two Munzirs and one Qaid. They were identified as Modu Dogo Munzir of Dogon Chukun, another unnamed Munzir, and Abu Aisha Qaid of Tumbun Mota, while several others sustained gunshot wounds.

Items recovered from the terrorists included 14 motorcycles, AK-47 rifles with magazines, 7.62mm special ammunition, anti-aircraft links, blankets, drugs, and other sundry materials.

Two gun trucks that could not be retrieved due to difficult terrain around Alargarno and Doro Naira were destroyed by the Air Component of OPHK with precision support from the Multinational Joint Task Force’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform. No casualty was recorded among the troops.

In a separate operation the same day, troops of Sector 1, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, conducted an offensive mission in Umbo, Madagali LGA of Adamawa State.
