The fans are becoming restless, and the rumours have started flying on the future of the Manchester United boss, Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese coach wanted to sign a defensive midfielder. He was adamant that Carlos Baleba is the man he needs to control games.

Last week’s Manchester derby showed why Amorim wanted a defensive midfielder so badly. The Red Devils are determined to go back for Baleba next summer.

This summer, Brighton and Hove Albion made it impossible for Manchester United to sign the player. Next season, they will face an even tougher competition for Baleba.

As Transfer News Liver reported, Liverpool will be looking to make a strong move for Carlos Baleba and match the valuation of Brighton.

That is why Manchester United are already searching for alternatives. They have Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace in their list of alternatives.

But now, the Red Devils have added another player to their list. According to CaughtOffside, Manchester United are eyeing a move for Jorthy Mokio from Ajax.

At 17, the Belgian has already made his first-team debut for Ajax. Mokio can play either as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder.
