The outreach, held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, was described as more than just food distribution but an act of solidarity, empowerment, and love aimed at supporting members of the corps and their families amid rising economic challenges.

Speaking at the event, the Chairperson of CDOWA, FCT Chapter, Mrs Bolanle Olayinka Odumosu, said the intervention was not only to provide food items but also to strengthen unity and resilience among families of officers.

“Today’s gathering is more than just about sharing food items—it is about extending love, unity, and mutual support within our community.

“The essence of today’s outreach is simple but profound: to support the welfare of our members and officers, to provide a little foodstuff package for 450 beneficiaries, and to reaffirm our commitment to the well-being of those who serve and those who stand behind them,” she said.

She noted that the outreach was the third intervention under her leadership in two years, stressing CDOWA’s commitment to improving the welfare of officers’ families.

Mrs Odumosu also thanked Food Bank Naija for partnering with the association, as well as the national leadership of CDOWA for its encouragement.

She paid tribute to widows of fallen officers and praised her husband, whom she described as “the wind beneath my wings.”
