Speaking at the ceremony, Wike said the project aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to transform the federal capital into a global-standard metropolis, while also expanding economic opportunities for residents.

“This road is not my road, it’s not Tinubu’s road. It is a road that will open up economic activities and improve the welfare of the people here. By the time we develop all these roads, Abuja will be competing with other cities in the world,” Wike said.

The minister stressed that despite criticisms, his administration will not relent in prioritising critical infrastructure.
