Bandits kidnapped Two Chinese Nationals In Kwara State, Six Beans Farmers

Two Chinese nationals have been reportedly kidnapped in Kwara State.

The men were working at a BUA road construction site along the Bode Saadu/Kaiama/Kosubosu road project when they were abducted, sources said.

They were taken by masked armed men on December 1, 2025, between 11pm and 4am, according to a security source.

“Gunmen recently invaded the BUA road construction site along Bode Saadu/Kaiama Road. They fired sporadic gunshots for about 2 to 3 hours before abducting two Chinese nationals working with the company,” a source told Sahara Reporters..

“The site is located less than 2 kilometres from the village of Bielesin/Fallah and near Olokiti. No casualty was reported except for the two men taken to an unknown destination,” he added.

Earlier this week, tension gripped Patigi and surrounding communities after six beans farmers were abducted by terrorists in Lata community, Patigi Local Government Area.

“They came very early in the morning while the farmers were busy. They took all six of them into the bush, and up till now, there is no update about their whereabouts,” a resident revealed.

Another resident recounted a separate attack on Tuesday, where bandits chased labourers from a farm and seized a seven-month-old Haojue motorcycle belonging to a local businessman.

Residents said the escalating violence has entrenched fear across Kwara South and Kwara North, with terrorists operating freely and communities fleeing their homes.

The latest abduction comes days after a farmer, Mr. Aasaru, was kidnapped by four armed bandits in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area, the second attack in one month.
