BREAKING: President Tinubu Appoints Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as MD/CEO of NEMSA
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Engineer Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
The President also approved the appointment of other members of the NEMSA Governing Board, as part of efforts to strengthen regulation, safety, and efficiency in Nigeria’s electricity sector.
Newly Appointed NEMSA Board Members
The appointed board members are:
Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez – Executive Director, Technical
Ikechi Clara Nwosu – Chairman, South East
Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris – Member
Igba Elizabeth – Member, North Central
Sani Alhaji Shehu – Member, North East
Adeyemi Adetunji – Member, South West
Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe – Member, South South
Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa – Member, South East
NEMSA is the agency responsible for technical inspection, testing, and certification of electricity infrastructure, ensuring safety standards across Nigeria’s power sector.
Industry observers say the new appointments signal the administration’s commitment to improving power sector governance, operational efficiency, and electricity safety nationwide.
Further details on the tenure and inauguration of the board members are expected to be announced by relevant authorities.
